5 mg: treatment of signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia in adult men.<\/p>\n

Dosage and method of use<\/h3>\n

Tablets are swallowed whole with a small amount of water, regardless of meals.<\/p>\n

Redex\u00ae is administered at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. The 10 mg and 20 mg doses may be effective for up to 36 hours after administration.<\/p>\n

The medicine should be used only on a doctor’s recommendation. The recommended starting dose is 10 mg, taken before sexual activity. If the effect of 10 mg is insufficient, the dose may be increased to 20 mg.<\/p>\n

The maximum recommended frequency of administration is once daily.<\/p>\n

Redex\u00ae 10 mg and 20 mg is used before planned sexual activity. In patients requiring frequent use (e.g., at least twice a week), the doctor may recommend daily administration in low doses.<\/p>\n

In this case, the recommended dose is 5 mg once daily, taken at approximately the same time. Depending on individual tolerance, the dose may be reduced to 2.5 mg per day.<\/p>\n

For the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia in patients treated for both conditions (BPH and erectile dysfunction), the recommended dose is 5 mg once daily, taken at approximately the same time.<\/p>\n

Special patient populations<\/h3>\n

No dose adjustment is required in elderly patients, in those with mild or moderate renal impairment, and in patients with diabetes mellitus.<\/p>\n

Contraindications<\/h3>\n

  • Hypersensitivity to tadalafil or any component of the medicine.<\/li>\n
  • Administration of organic nitrates or nitric oxide donors (e.g., amyl nitrite).<\/li>\n
  • Patients with cardiac conditions or who have recently suffered a myocardial infarction (within the last 90 days).<\/li>\n
  • Recent stroke.<\/li>\n
  • Low blood pressure or uncontrolled hypertension.<\/li>\n
